How to run exe in visual studio with SFML?

Hey, my partner and I are having trouble making the exe work with sfml libraries. Is there a correct way to include sfml with the build that will fix this issue?

I assume the issue is running a stand-alone exe (i.e., outside of the Windows IDE).  I'm not sure of the problem you are having, but you need to make sure you have the SFML libraries in the directory where your .exe is running.

For Windows, copy in the needed files:

  1. The executable.
  2. The SFML libraries (from SFML\bin)
  3. The Dragonfly font file
  4. The needed sprites and sounds

For Linux, the steps are the same but:

  1. The SFML libraries are usually in /usr/lib/libsfml*
  2. The remote host (where installing) needs to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH=.
